Hi, I’m Ana.
For 15 years, I managed translation projects, coordinated teams across time zones, and kept everything moving. On paper, I was productive. In practice, I was busy in a way that left very little room for anything else.
Somewhere in my early 40s, I started paying attention to a different kind of question — not how do I get more done, but what is actually worth doing?
That question led me here.
About Taste of Calm
This is a blog about building a quieter, more intentional life after 40.
I write about three things:
Habits — the small routines that either drain you or steady you, and how to tell the difference.
Spending — specifically, how to stop spending on things that don’t matter and start being more deliberate about where your money goes. I spent years buying things to feel better. It didn’t work. Now I write about what does.
Growth — I read self-help and psychology books the way other people watch TV. I share honest reviews of what’s worth your time and what isn’t.
I don’t write about productivity hacks or morning routines designed for 25-year-olds. I write for women who already have a full life and are trying to make it feel more like their own.
A bit more about me
I live in Serbia with my husband and two kids. I graduated in English Language and Literature, started as a freelance translator, and eventually built my own business.
I read constantly. I like things simple. I am still figuring a lot of this out, and I write about it honestly when I do.
